Grandpa Mike & Grandma Lisa's Visit from China

Grandpa Mike & Grandma Lisa came to visit for awhile from China!  It was so wonderful to spend the weekend together at the cottage.  The kids had a wonderful time playing together and entertaining all of us.  It was such a blessing to have them here and we can't wait to see them again in July!  We love you!
Emerson wanted to go down to the water while we were at the cottage.  It was a little breezy and chilly that day but we stayed there long enough to get a quick family picture!
Grandma and Grandpa bought some Easter eggs, filled them with M & M's, and hid them around the living room for the kids to find.  They had a ball and wanted to do it over and over again!
She had so much fun running around and playing with Noah...
and snuggling with Koen.  She was very cute and gentle with him and talked to him in the funniest high-pitched voice!
Noah and Emerson were big fans of Grandpa's choice for lunch--Culver's french fries and milkshakes were delicious!

Pigtails

This may not seem like a big "milestone" to anyone else, but Emerson finally has enough hair to put into pigtails!  She and I got to hang out for awhile this morning (my school had a 2 hour fog delay) so after we made muffins and did some laundry, we played with her hair and tried a new 'do.  It looked nothing like this by the end of the day, but it was cute while it lasted :-)

New Wheels

Emerson got a new bike for her birthday from Grandma Lisa & Grandpa Mike back in December.  Now that the snow has melted, she finally got a chance to ride it outside.  Do you think she was excited????  She was especially thrilled to learn that it makes noise--I'm sure our neighbors will enjoy it as well! :-)
It's hard work riding around the neighborhood!  She had to take a break and push for awhile :-)

Nana's Visit

Nana came for a visit this weekend and we took a trip to Frederik Meijer Gardens to see the "Butterflies are Blooming" exhibit.  There was lots to see (and touch) and Emerson LOVED it!  We had such a good time with Nana--lots of playing, dining out, and snuggling!
