Grandma & Aunt Lyndsey

Grandma MJ and Aunt Lyndsey came to visit Friday and Saturday. They spent lots of quality time with Emerson and took her on her first ride in her cool car (a hand-me-down from her cousins Kenzie and Maddie). She thought she was hot stuff! We were so glad we got to spend time with them this weekend!

9 Months Old

Emerson is 9 months old! At her check-up, we learned that she had an ear infection (which explains the lack of sleep we've all been experiencing the past couple weeks). We thought her fussiness was just due to teething, a new schedule, etc. but now she's on an antibiotic and back to her old self. Her development is right on track and she's so much fun right now! She loves to pull up on everything, moves very carefully from one piece of furniture to another, tries to dance, and loves to walk while holding our hands. She is extremely curious about everything and enjoys exploring the house and the outdoors. Here are our little girl's 9 month stats:
Weight: 21 lbs (90th percentile)
Height: 28.5 in (75th percentile)
Head Circ.: 18.5 (off the charts!!!) She apparently has a huge brain :-)

Labor Day Weekend

We're a little behind...sorry! Emerson turned 9 months old yesterday. Her check-up is next week, so we'll post her stats then. We're quite sure she's well over 20 pounds so we've started using the bigger carseat. At last week's physical therapy appt., her therapist decided that she's met all of her goals, so she was dismissed from therapy! We think that she must be teething, and she's also fighting off a cold that everyone at her sitter's has now had, and she's had to adjust to being back in daycare, so needless to say, she's been a little off the past week or so! Hopefully, she'll be back to her happy, mellow self soon! Here are some pictures from Labor Day weekend at the Richardson's cottage:
