3 Weeks Old!

Emerson is now 3 weeks old! She's become quite the eater...you can see by these pictures that her face has filled out quite a bit in the past week or so! Her clothes are actually fitting her now! She's beginning to sleep for longer stretches of time, which Mom and Dad appreciate. Here are some pictures from the past week...

Emmie loves to play with her hands. This is one of the few shots we have where her hands are still.

No more pictures, please!
Emerson is all decked out in her "first Christmas" gear! We celebrated with my family on Saturday at Pam & Steve's house. We were so thankful that we didn't have to travel far this year!

Our family!

Emerson was having lots of fun with Mom and Dad on Christmas morning! We love her smile!
Here's Emmie trying out her gym for the first time on Christmas morning. She loved it! She kicked her legs and moved her arms when she heard the music.

2 Weeks Old

Our little Emerson is now 2 weeks old already! She had her two-week doctor's appt. today and she's doing great. She now weighs 7 lbs. 11 oz. and is in the 30th percentile for height and weight (she's still a little peanut)! She is eating and sleeping well and we are enjoying every minute of parenthood so far! Here are some pictures from the past week...

We had to try on her Santa hat from Aunt Nina. She is THRILLED!

Tracy, Dan, and Jayce were among the many visitors this weekend.

Great Grandma Glo loves snuggling with Emerson. We're so glad she got to spend some time with us!

Grandpa Mike finally got to meet his granddaughter this week!

Emerson's First Days at Home

Nick has been doing a wonderful job keeping the blog updated, but it's finally my turn! Our first days at home with Emerson have been great...every day seems a little better than the one before. We've been so thankful for all the meals and gifts from our friends and family. We are so grateful for everything that everyone has done to help us welcome her home. We have waited for this day for so long and we feel truly blessed to be Emerson's parents. She's such a gift!

Great Grandma Glo gave Emmie her first lesson in making pasties.
Emerson celebrated her one week birthday with a cookie bouquet from her Great Aunt Grace and Uncle Dave...she was upset when she found out she couldn't eat one, but Mom and Dad have been enjoying them!

Here are some of my favorite shots so far...

Emerson comes home

Apparently my daughter is pretty popular as it has been a virtual parade of visitors since we got home with our little girl. We are so happy to be home with Emerson and so happy that everyone wants to come and meet her. So far she has been very good but Mom and Dad need naps. Grandma Ross has been a big help in the transition and is doing her best to help us get some sleep.

ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday @ 1:33pm my amazing wife delivered our new daughter. Her name is Emerson Grace Mayra, she weighed 6lbs. 13 oz. and was 20" long. I always said that newborns were usually pretty ugly and that I could be realistic about my own baby's appearance because they don't stay as ugly, wrinkly, cone-headed newborns, but our baby girl is the most beautiful little baby that I have ever seen. Both Mom and Emmie are happy and healthy (even after 34 hours of labor). Dad (that's me)went home to sleep last night and update this blog for everyone and I can't wait to get back there and see my girls so don't expect a lot of fluff with these pics.

Here is Mom and Emmie right after birth.

Grandma and Grandpa Ross, proud grandparents.

...and now with her Aunt Sarah.

Not so happy getting checked out and with goop in her eyes.

After a long day (or two) I am whipped and I stink, but I love that baby.

This one is my favorite. I took this just before I left to go home and sleep last night. That's my little girl and I love her (so does mommy, but she can tell you all about that later.) More to come.........
