Happy Halloween!

To celebrate Emerson's first Halloween, we had dinner with Aunt Pam, Uncle Steve, and cousins Mackenzie and Madison. Then she put on her duck costume to go trick-or-treating with Maddie. We just went to a few houses in our neighborhood, but I think she enjoyed herself and got some practice for next year. We kept trying to get her to quack, but the best she could do was "duh" for duck!

Fall Fun

We had planned on taking a trip to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch with some friends today, but due to the cold, rainy weather, it was cancelled. But while we were out and about running errands, we did stop at the farm market to get some pumpkins and take some quick pictures. Emerson wasn't really interested in the pumpkins at all. We ended our outing with a quick lunch at Steak & Shake where she modeled her hat for everyone!

Leaves

Emmie played in the leaves the other night...she spent lots of time examining them and only tried to eat one!

Taking a stroll...

Here's a video of Emerson showing off her walking skills! She had an audience to impress...Lyn, Doug, Nina, and Rich were here to see her this past weekend. Sorry the video is sideways--I don't know how to fix it :-(

10 Months Old

It's been awhile since our last post...sorry! Emerson turned 10 months last week. She's eating absolutely everything. She loves to feed herself and makes hilarious "mmmmm" noises as she chews! One of her top teeth finally popped through, making a grand total of 3. She survived her first bout with the flu (and shared it with Mom and Dad, of course). Last weekend, my parents came over and we made homemade applesauce at my sister's house. Emerson was entertained by Mackenzie and Madison all day and they tired her right out!
