Nick had a wonderful Father's Day today. We took a trip to the zoo where Emerson got to pet the stingrays, starfish, and goats with her Daddy. She was a little hesitant to feed the birds, but warmed up to the idea after a few minutes. We had lunch outdoors at Sami's downtown and then took at trip to Coldstone to finish off Dad's day. Emerson is so blessed to have such a wonderful, patient, loving dad. We love you, Nick!

Goofy Girl!
Emerson is all about the cheesy, goofy grin lately! She makes us laugh every day. She is quite a talker and we love hearing her conversations with us, her toys, or other kids. Today, she asked me "Mommy, how was your day? What did you do?" (even though we were together all day long!) Though she is gabber, we had to record our favorite mispronounciations here on the blog so we could look back and laugh...
Here are some of our favorite "Emmie-isms"
octopus=optiquis
lollipop=pollypop
smoothie=snoodie
Cinderella=Cinderbrella
And my favorite...bathing suit=babe-ing suit

Memorial Day continued...
When we returned from Chicago, we went to my sister's house to visit her family and my parents who were there visiting for the weekend. The girls attempted playing ball outside together, but Emerson was really just interested in grabbing the balls and with them!
Memorial Day Weekend in Chicago
We spent Memorial Day weekend in Chicago with Jeff & Lesley & the boys, Nana, Lyndsey, Alex, and Mimi. It was very warm, so the kids splashed in the kiddie pool, ran in the sprinkler, and hosed everyone down. We all had a ball!
