We celebrated my mom's birthday today in Lansing with my whole family! It was so good to see everyone. Emerson had a great time with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow, Grandma Ross! We love you!

Our Little Piggie
Emerson has always been a very good eater, but she's never been a fan of fruit (she LOVES dried fruit, but not fresh). She surprised us today when she grabbed a banana and ate the whole thing!
Here Comes the Sun...
The sun has been shining this week so we got out Emerson's shades. They're a little small, but she had fun wearing them anyway!

Just because...
Emerson and I are home this week (Spring Break--yay!!!), which has given me the opportunity to take lots of pictures and videos of our little girl! Here are some of my favorites...
She entertained herself for the longest time with the magnets. After she got bored with the fridge, she put them on the drawer of the stove, then on the dishwasher too! (Don't worry, she didn't really eat any of them!)

Helping Mom & Dad
Emerson has been a big "help" in the kitchen lately! She makes music with the mixing bowls while we cook dinner. She also points to the stove & grill and reminds us that they're "hot, hot"! We haven't let her help do any of the cooking yet...for now, empty bowls and utensils are enough entertainment!
Jellybeans!
We let Emmie play with a plastic egg so she'd know what to do with it on the big day! She shook it first to see if it made any noise. It was filled with jellybeans, so we gave her some for the first time and LOVED them, which was a huge surprise since she's not big on sweets! She even liked the coffee-flavored Jelly Bellies...she is her mother's daughter!
